Love Olusegun release his first documentary film, titled “THE PULSE OF DAILY LIFE”

On March 3, 2026. A short documentary film Written & Directed by Love Olusegun was released on YouTube. This project highlights the bustle of early morning and the chaotic calm of the dusk, from Lagos mainland to Lagos Island, giving space to the beauty that exist in imperfection. “ This film is a mirror held up to the soul of Lagos city. Imperfect, vibrant, and fiercely alive. Reminding us that Lagos is not one story, it's millions. “   Produced by LENSVISION, this short documentary film is giving space to the beauty that exist in imperfection. Love Olusegun also known as Sleemvisual is a cinematographer, creative director and Founder of LENSVISION MAGAZINE. For him, it's all about representing true Africa, redefining the stereotypes and telling mind-influencing stories. “I've released couples of projects since I came into the creative space, and it's been amazing. However, it is time for a new chapter, with everything to share from me to you. Lovelies, ride with me on this journey.”  For decades, the global gaze has looked at the African continent through a remarkably narrow lens, one that alternates mechanically between stories of systemic despair or Westernized luxury. Very rarely does the camera pause to look at the continent exactly as it is.  Armed with a camera and an uncompromising philosophical policy, Love Olusegun has stepped onto the media stage not just to document reality, but to actively change how the world thinks. For him, visual storytelling is more than a creative career path, it is an act of cultural reclamation. 

His mission is crystal clear, which is to represent true Africa, dismantle stereotypes, and delivering mind-influencing stories that linger long after the screen goes dark. "The problem isn't that people are telling stories about Africa, the problem is that for too long, we allowed outsiders to write the scripts, frame the shots, and dictate our identity. My work is partly about reclaiming that control and showing the brilliant, raw, and dignified truth of our people." Olusegun's cinematic style is instantly recognizable. Under his creative direction, the camera shifts away from superficial poverty tourism or detached corporate gloss. His documentaries and Feature Articles such as “The floating slum“ and “Fragment of the living city“  center the voice, ingenuity, and everyday resilience of the African people.
